A fiesta of tornadoes

It’s supposed to be “officially” Spring — that wet, planting season that gives people spring fever, feverishly cleaning the cupboards and planting bulbs in the garden — but why are there still tornadoes wreaking havoc on the Rockies and into the Plains? According to the Houston Chronicles, sixty-five tornadoes were reported in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska.

It was 81 degrees in Minneapolis the other day. this one is a little bizarre to me. Living in Minneapolis, we’re lucky if we have a full month of 80 degree weather in the summer and certainly not at the beginning of Spring!

The weather has been up and down the scales out here in the cape too, at least it feels that way. It’s sunny one day and snowing the next. I won’t be surprised if tornadoes are in our future, though I certainly hope it never happens!
