The Internet Way Back When

It seems a hundred years ago when the internet was “born” and became popular, but it’s not even a quarter of my life really when Yahoo, Google, Amazon, IBM and a host of now-defunct corporate web sites began cropping up to experiment on the “net”.

If you want to revisit memory lane, hop on the Wayback Machine and enter the url of web sites and a list of their historical transformation will pull up. Imagine yourself being part of history, and when you tell your great grand kids about the beginnings of the internet, there’s something you can look back to to prove that claim =)

This Google search engine prototype looks nowhere near that company who’d fork over $6 Billion to buy Youtube.
