What’s Your Fashion?

Casual for me. I think I vamp it up with my personality enough that I didn’t need a lot of bling … liar. Bleh.

I admit, while I was still living in NYC I used to scan the latest fashion trends but I end up not buying any of them anyway. Felt like I’d be a fashion victim more than a fashion diva. LOL. But I love my sky-high heeled shoes and my jeans. sigh. I miss Bloomingdales.

That was New York, I’m on the Cape now. I haven’t shopped in a Mall for clothes for forever. I normally buy things online. One local news article quotes that The Fashion Council of America awarded women of Cape Cod as the worst dress women in the entire United States. Waaaaahhh. Wait, I’m a wash-ashore [not a real local] so MAYBE that doesn’t count?!

True ReligionAnyway, back to fashion, I am a firm believer in investing in a few high end pieces of clothes and accessories, because they last for a gazillion years. I mean, I’d buy a pair of $260-something True Religion Jeans [which I think make my non-existent butt appear like they have bumps] and wear it with almost anything, from the very casual to the semi-dressy shirts and they’d look great every time. I have tried a lot of high end shoes but my toes keep going back to Steve Madden and Nine West so I’ll stick with them, they’re a good fit for me.

The other thing I’d invest on is make up, you know, it doesn’t have to be hundreds of dollars, lancome lipsticks and Trish McEvoy compacts range from $20s to $60s. They’ll get you through anything. Yes, even a break up, or a break out.

So what’s your fashion? I came across this web site, Electric Ladyland, and it sure has character, my kind of pink kikay character. Worth checking out. But wait, what is that I see, a Cosa Nostra striped halter dress that looked so much like a dress from one of the Project Runway designers! Hmmnnn, can’t get the name but yes, I think the design was from one of the finalists.
