Truro Vineyards

Truro vineyardsWho’d have thought. Cape Cod is known for its beaches, the vibrant gay community of Provincetown. Great for Whale Watching. Summer home of JFK … but a vineyard?

Apparently, the great summer winds and sun of Cape Cod is great for vine. When I first started dating Rob, he would buy wine from the local vineyard. I didn’t really take notice thinking it’s more likely a business who just imports the grapes or wines in oak barrels and bottle it themselves. I guess I’m wrong.

I’m no wine connoisseur but these wines can hold up with others from Napa valley and is good enough as an everyday table wine to be enjoyed with family and friends.

Now that I’m pregnant, I’m staying away from spirits and liquors (not that I’m a drinker anyway!).

It’s summer and the Truro Vineyards (on Route 6, on your way up to Provincetown) is open for wine tasting and wine selling. Not a bad idea to grab a few bottles to celebrate the coming of our little bundle of joy eh.

Bali Wine RackNext came the thought, I would need a wine rack for those bottle of wines … specially if I’m, thinking of entertaining before the summer’s over [finally!]. So on to my online window shoppping I went and find this Bali wine rack which I think is very stylish and mod. It has flowing lines and can hold about 12 bottles. There are other nice and bigger designs too, made of wood racks and metal racks.
Like I said, I’m no wine connoisseur, but it’s interesting to find a store, TheVineStore.com, that deals specifically with wine racks, wine tasting tables, wine coolers and glasses. Specializing in wine furniture enables them to concentrate in putting out nice products at affordable prices. AND, they’re BBB [Better Business Bureau] certified, so customer service and shipping should be no problem.
