Diva Fabrics

They say that when a woman is about to give birth she has this “nesting” instinct kicking into high gear. I probably am VERY close to giving birth [I'm 37 weeks. DUH!] because I suddenly have this strong urge to clean out everything and replace the carpet with wood and reupholster all the couches plus scrub everything in site and lysol them. Madwoman. Check.

From time to time, season to season, I’ve been wanting to reupholster our couch myself, or at the very least, create a slipcover for it to get away from the bland linen white color it has always sported. Alas, I have not really found any good fabric on those fabric warehouses I visit or online.

Until today that is. This discount designer upholstery fabric with lush Tuscan colors is right up my alley. Rob would probably prefer one of those mod, clean lines and normally I do too, but this print is so cool and the enlarged version, which can be seen here, is definitely screaming rich designer diva fabric.

This fabric is being sold by DesignDivaFabrics.com and they are currently holding a sale [50% to 90% off their entire inventory!] so it’s a great time to think about upholstery fabric or curtain materials just about now.

The store offers Kravet, Scalamandre, velvet, faux fur and brocade fabric for use in upholstery, curtain draperies or any other interior fabric needs sans the designer tab [i.e., discount!]. I love the way this web site presents the fabric, it really showcases their design, color and texture specially with the great photos that accompany each selection. You can envision how those materials will look like, unlike other web sites where you only have to rely on swatch-size pictures.
