Was driving through town the other day and saw a lot of “For Sale” sign … was scanning Ptown events online and came across a lot of local businesses up for grabs including a marina … well, the majority of the “market” say it’s a buyer’s market when properties sit for months even years with no takers.
I wonder then why in provincetown alone, we have some 40 something listing of Real Estate Brokers and Mortgage companies for a tiny town with probably no more than 5 miles in width … hmmnn … I must be in the wrong profession. Especially when properties are selling for gazillion dollars and increasing every year.
Come to think of it, when there are sellers, there are buyers. And both of them needs the services of a real estate broker. So what do you need to become a realtor? I haven’t heard of a Realty school but I’ve heard of Compucram which helps people interested in a realty license review and pass those exams. [Again, why don't schools have a specialized course for real estate careers? It's big business.].
The Compucram software is available for many state specific real estate agent, real estate broker, insurance, home inspection, appraisal, mortgage and NASD series 6 & Series 7 Exam. I downloaded the one for Massachusetts and it’s pretty informative thoug not complete [of course, it's a trial version].
For $69.00 this software is not bad at all, it has been in existence since 1997 and it has interactive features that let you get feedback for the right answers, it has timed exams or you can do a self-paced review mode. This software also has categorized questions letting you focus on the topics you’re interested in. And it has a comprehensive glossary system that keeps you up to date on real estate lingo.
A serious software for a serious Realtor.
