Tim Burton .. and Johnny Depp are at it again. Teaming up to bring us the latest offering of magical gross for Christmas with the screen adaptation of the award winning musical thriller, “Sweeney Todd”.

Johnny Depp stars as Sweeney Todd, the unjustly imprisoned barber who comes back to exact revenge for the fate that has befallen him and his family after he has been imprisoned.

Alan Rickman [of The Harry potter fame] plays the evil Judge Turpin who sends Sweeney to prison to get to his wife. Sweeney Todd returns as the Demon Brber of Fleet Street, shaving heads off gentlemen on the “confessional chair” [as often barber chairs are referred to] and thereafter Mrs. Lovell, played by Helena Bonham Carter, serves them up in quite yummy meat pies. Of course the guests don’t know that, do they?
