In the process, for every correct answer you get freerice.com is donating 20 grains of rice through the United Nations World Food Program to feed the hungry. 20 grains of rice would probably be equal to a quarter teaspoon, but it’s a start. Just imagine what a thousand grains of rice will do. It’s almost a palm full, enough for a child’s meal.

So yes, every grain of rice counts. A palm full, a spoon full, ten grains, twenty, it does make a difference specially to the person receiving it. Just imagine, 25,000 people die each day from hunger-related causes, most of them children. I can’t imagine seeing my baby fading away just because we were at the ends of our rope and nothing to eat.
