Bob’s House
The upcoming superbowl will see anew brand of commercial, the “silent” ad. Enter Pepsico ’s “Bob’s House”, a story of two deaf friends in a car on their way to Bob’s house [another deaf friend] to watch the superbowl. Unfortunately, upon reaching the darkened neighborhood, they can’t quite figure out which is Bob’s house. The solution? Honk the horn!
It’s a brilliant piece of commercial specially when you realize that this production has been conceptualized, created and starred in by Pepsico’s own employees, hearing impaired and people with normal hearing in their pursuit to bring awareness to the American Deaf community. And boy are they making an impact, what bigger stage than the Superbowl here in the US.
