Yes, I could do with a huge dose of the happiness pill just about now.
If you let go a little
You will have a little peace.
If you let go a lot
You will have a lot of peace.
If you let go completely
You will have complete peace.
- this is an excerpt from Marci Shimoff’s book, Happy For No Reason. The book uses The Sedona Method, the secret to mastering the secret to being truly happy.
Hokey, too many secrets, but this one is supposed to be all out in the open. For some time now we’ve heard about “The Secret”, it has been featured in Oprah, advertised on TV, print and the internet but what is it really about?
The Sedona Method, supposedly discovered by Lester Levenson at the time when he was diagnosed to be severely ill that he was given the “death sentence” by doctors and sent home to spend his “dying” days in his NYC apartment. After some deep soul-searching he had an epiphany on what REALLY makes a person happy, completely letting go of all negative thoughts and accepting real peace into yourself. Something like that.
Being emotionally and psychologically happy triggers the happy genes that fixes what’s broken in our physical selves too. Happy Soul, Happy Body. Even Mariel Heminway, Ernest Hemingway’s granddaughter used it so she won’t end up as depressed as her grandfather.
We all know about dealing with negative thoughts, we just keep on shoving it under the rug because frankly, feeling miserable is sometimes easier to achieve than feeling happy. If we can’t do it on our own then buying a book like “Happy For No Reason” should at least reinforce what we already know subconsciously and act on them.
