Payback
Super Tuesday just wrapped up. Senators Hillary Clinton and John McCain appears to have some edge in delegate count.
But that’s not the scoop I’m interested in. We all know the New England Patriots just suffered an upset during Sunday’s Superbowl. Well, guess what, New England’s John Kerry and Ted Kennedy just suffered an upset this Super Tuesday too. Ouch.
Hillary Clinton won Massachusetts fair and square. That must hurt Kerry and Kennedy, what with all the hoopla surrounding their support of Barrack Obama.
Or is it a case of “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned …”? Ooops.
Apparently, way back during the first Clintonian years, Kennedy needed help beating a certain challenger by the name of Mitt Romney and the Clintons rushed to Massachusetts to help our dear “Camelot” survivor and Senator Kennedy won that round. Hoooray.
Unfortunately for the Clintons, when the time came that they needed or hoped for Ted’s help, it was found squarely camped in Senator Obama’s corner. Oooops. Ouch. Argh. The Massachusetts contest just got personal. And Hillary’s foot soldiers went to work as hard as they can, oh yes they did. They delivered Massachusetts to the Clintons and showed Ted Kennedy a thing or two about beating you in your own backyard.
