Keeping Time

It’s Daylight Savings time again. I don’t really pay attention as I’m on “mommy time”, but is a welcome arrival for it means Summer is near [weee!].

Filipinos are not known to be diligent keepers of time. At some point we’ve always been synonymous to “Filipino time”, meaning we’re always “fashionably late”. Send out invites half an hour early and your Filipino guest will still manage to be half an hour late. it was almost always acceptable.

But not in this new world order. Nu-uh. My dad would have been proud because he’s a stickler for showing up in time, ALL the time. He was like a drill sergeant, hut hut hutting us to keep to schedule.

If you are looking for a new watch to keep up with the new “pinoy” [you know, the one who's very professional, a migrant who's assimilated to the need for showing up on time] you might want to check out Bluedial.com’s Seiko Watch page. Seiko has come a long way since the days of my youth. They have updated watch designs which fits every occasion. Bluedial has over 20,000 watches including high quality deisgns from Seiko, Citizen, Bulova, Movado, Esq, etc and they offer free sizing and 2nd day shipping.
