I Love Mother Earth, Don’t You?

Of course you do =)

Guess what, we can do something today to show her how much we love her. You know, pause for just a bit to let her know we care even if we keep forgetting to tell her like 90% of the time?

Earth hour started this morning [night time in other parts of the world] when Sydney and hundreds of other cities and towns plunge themselves in darkness. Lights Out. By choice. For one whole hour, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

You know what it did? According to a CNN report - last year, during Earth Hour, when cities and businesses turned off their lights - it resulted in some 10.2% reduction in carbon emission for that hour. That’s the equivalent of a warm, cuddly kiddie hug to mommy earth.

This year, more cities, households and businesses are joining. Come join us today for Earth Hour, March 29th, from 8:00PM - 9:00 PM [local time], wherever you are to shut off your lights for just one hour and let’s give mother earth not only a hug but a satisfying kissy kiss. You forgot to join when it was 8 PM your time? How about you calculate when it’s 8:00 PM our time [GMT-6hrs] and lights out? Hey, better late then never. It still counts.

Oh gee, we will actually have one full hour of face time instead of chatting across the room from our work stations! Weeeee!

I hate to burst your bubble. So called “earth hour” won’t do diddly squat. Nor will it matter in any significant way. Sorry. The whole manmade “global warming” is a crock and a scam.

The earth has actually cooled in the last few years. I am so sick of the self righteous self proclaimed “healers” of the earth telling me what to do. I’m all for saving energy in order to reduce my power bill but I refuse to turn my lights off for some made up cause. I feel like going around and turning ALL of my lights on just out of spite.

*sigh* This whole “green” movement drives me bonkers.

Maria says: Well, you’re entitiled to your own opinion, the same way other people, including myself, are entitled to theirs. We live our lives the way we believe it should be lived. People who don’t believe in Global Warming are also trying to influence other people not to believe it, the same way the “green” movement tries to influence people to go their way. It is nice to point out though the cooling of the earth can also be tied up with global warming … it’s the whole circle of life thing.

Surprisingly, scientists, they who are the least spiritual of humans, around the world concur that global warming is a fact and that humans are responsible for it.
    Cheers.

Isn’t it a wonderful intiative? I’m thrilled when I see chances like this for the world to come together and take a stand.

I am all for this idea. castocreations is one of those type of people who thinks sod the world and everything in it. Have you been to a major city and walked around the traffic there? Talk about bad air… If it makes me wretch just walking about in one city what’s all of the cities in the world going to do to the atmosphere? You silly person.
