Clean Up! Clean Up!

Gone are the days when I can relax and maybe clean once a week. The big R is finally getting his head out of his shell and actually crawled around the house to see how dirty the carpet is. Hoooray!

Dc25_picHe agrees, much as we love our dear old handheld Hoover which must be as old as the Hoover dam, we have to let it go in favor of one of those spanking new bagless vacuum that sucks dirt, dust and dust mites like a midwest tornado. Like a Dyson DC25?

What do I like about this vacuum? Apart from having that funky design, the air expelled from this DC25 vacuum contains up to 150 times less mold and bacteria than the air you breathe. Neat.

AND it has a HEPA filter. Weee! Seriously, think about it, moms vacuum a gazillion times a week but is it really helping when the dust [and bacteria] just comes back from the backend exhaust? That’s why I’ve been nagging R to buy a new vacuum. He likes geeky gadgets, maybe this dyson’s patented ball technology will get to him so he’d want to play with it at least every other day and vacuum the teeny 700 sq ft of living space we have right now.

    Can’t beat a good Dyson.

We’ve had the DC03 for about 5 years, and I indulged in the DC20 a couple of months ago as storage is an issue for us.

You can’t go back to regular vacuums, Dysons just rule.

I love my Dyson. I used to have to buy a new vacuum about once a year and that was pushing it. The only problem I have with the Dyson (and every other vacuum on the planet) is having to clean the brush, as I have long hair. Other than that it is awesome! Worth the investment.
