Finally, Family!

So I mentioned the other day that my sister is in town. Weeee! Haven’t seen her in years and it’s not for lack of interest either. I’m sure my mom would have been on the next plane to here to if the dollar is not at such a low and flights to USA are VERY expensive.

Hopefully, my mom’s going to come over in the summer. I like going out with her, we both like to take long walks and she’s game to go wherever I want to take her. the last time she vacationed with me, we were like walking all over Manhattan and eating street food.

My sister on the other hand is a couch potato.

She travels some 13,000 miles and promptly plants herself on the couch and watch TV or youtube the whole day. Yes, three quarters of town has access to the beach, you have world class acts performing , Quentin Tarantino will bein town, Colin Farrel was just here … DJ Vasquez is spinning, Hilarity Tour 08 is starting, Cher will shortly be scootering down Commercial St., people are paying top dollars to sing at one of them karaoke nights … you think my sister would budge from watching Pinoy Big Brother?

Think again.

But I’m happy to finally have some family around. The baby “trains” her good … he complains and she comes running to do his bidding. LOL, my kid knows how to put on the act. He makes those “pity me” faces and she can’t resist picking him up. He makes goo-goo eyes and he has her as a toy for the whole afternoon. Unless of course it’s Pinoy Big Brother is playing on youtube. *Sigh*

Children, especially young ones have a way with turning an adult around.
You are so fortunate to have a child around, I loved being a Mom and although I’m a Grandma now and that totally rocks, I really, really loved being a Mom.
    HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!
