Lightbox … Lights Out!

Thanks Daisy, thanks Deimos, thanks Kim. I have it all figured out now [without much help from IE!].

It WAS my lightbox plugin that I upgraded a few days ago. My problem while diagnosing was that I deactivated my plugins and reloaded IE. Unfortunately, perhaps from cache issues or plain windows loving me, I was getting the same error pop up. Stripped all my recent updates from last month [the last time I checked it on IE and lucky me]including any and all and nada, no-go .. stil lthe same error. I put back my recent sidebar [because I heart Entrecard and Project Wonderful and all my categories and pretty much everything on my blog teehee], blogged about it and slept over it.

This morning I did a new tactic. I deactivated all my plugins, removed new widgets and reloaded IE6 and IE7. Voila, all’s working well. I tried activating one plugin at a time and reloaded Maria Finds. Going good. Until I came unto my Lightbox plugin. I activated and presto, error. But even after I deactivated it and reloaded IE I still had the error.

Grrrr. Here we go again …

Then I thought, hmmnn .. how about I closed off any instance of IE and launch a new IE browser after EVERY edit I make? That’s how I solved the problem. No brainer? How annoying is that, that I have to close and launch new IE browser after every line of code I have to edit?

At least I just had to close and launch new IE browser. Think about the mortification of that guy who accidentally tripped on a cable and unplugged the company I used to work for for a whole day and managed to lose $$$$$$$$ [yes, eight figures] along the way before they figured hey, why not try PLUGGING the plug into the socket?
