Yes, please, I can use a new laptop. Well, I heart my old Toshiba that could (five years and still going strong) but it doesn’t hurt to have another machine to divvy up the work.

I mentioned in my previous post that it’s the b*tching kind of week this week but I can’t help but have my eyes light up at the prospect of possibly getting a new laptop for free.

Ding!

Until of course I read the Charter Laptop-a-Day Giveaway rules, checked if our area is being serviced … and finding out, nope, sorry, nu-uh, not included. Oh well.

However, I’m not such a b-i-a-t-c-h that I am hogging this piece of info to moi just ’cause I can’t get it (bah!).

So what’s it about? Apparently, Charter Communications has launched a “30 Laptops 30 Days 30 Winners” ad campaign ending on September 22nd (2008). That’s a lotta laptops.

But then again, if the ad is successful then they make up for it with new (and hopefully loyal) customers. You see, in order to get in the running for the laptop, you have to subscribe to at least one of Charter Communications’ services. They currently offer cable, phone and internet services and have a variety of combined services (tv+internet, tv+phone+ internet, internet, tv …) with rates starting at $19.99*

(*for the first six months)

I think it’s smart that almost all cable providers are now combining their services with tv, phone and the internet. Game on! Check out which has the best ad and offer to boot. Here’s a start =)
