Really.

Are you the type who has a relationship with your blog host or is it that straightforward, automated, gazillion customer service tiers-call-ONLY-when something’s REALLY F’d up type of hosting?

There’s a website hosting review site claiming it’s reviews are absolutely user-driven. Hmmmnnn. It’s not well-populated yet, but it has an interesting concept in trying to section off different web hosting companies into those offering wordpress, drupal, typepad; hosts that run on unix, windows, etc; who offers colocation, VPS, etc etc. Then users also rate which web host is the best for budget conscious individuals, things like that.

Then again, I see the same companies over and over and over .. and over. So either, this web site is crafted by a web hosting company or they haven’t received a lot of submissions yet.

I’ve written about my web host, advantagecom.net before and how much I heart them. The kind where you’re on a first name basis and they send you something for the baby over Christmas and who understands when you have to call in the middle of the night panicking because you forgot that darn it, you’re on different time zones! Gaaaah.

Anyway, if you’re thinking maybe it’s time to switch hosting …. Well hey, I have a contest running! You might just land yourself a full year of fee free blog hosting. And if you’re great at what you do, let’s just say Maria Blogs might be open to future prolonged sponsorship. *wink* *wink*
