You on Facebook yet? If you are, then you would have played at least one game, taken a quiz or two (or a lot) and generally swap “farm” stories or “mafia” hits with your friends.

Don’t you think their games, like Farmville and Cafe World, are a tad too slow, considering they are introducing money aspect to it? Farmville used to beat Farmtown in loading time hands down but lately, Farmtown is getting faster and is making improvements in their inventory. Playfish also loads faster than similar Zynga games (Restaurant city vs Cafe World anyone?).

Online games have come far, I used to heart Yahoo games and Popcap which charges just under $20 after a game’s e trial download, but now, you only need to log in to FB and voila, you can waste a full 24 hours checking your plants, flowers, menu, pets mafia and whatever takes your fancy for free, or a few dollars to buy that extra cool gadget for your mob or farm.

Zynga! Hollering at you … make it worth parting with my dollar to play your games (no, I haven’t. But others do. I might. You just never know.)
